ProcessUnity provides tools to manage and access supporting documentation
Document Upload and Attachment. ProcessUnity provides easy-to-use capabilities for uploading and attaching a variety of file types to any element in the system, providing in-context access to key documentation and information related to specific elements such as processes, controls, assessment phases, tests, and the like.
Document Repository. A variety of file types may also be securely stored in the ProcessUnity Document Repository, allowing customers to link a single instance of documentation or information to multiple elements throughout the system. For example, a single copy of a key policy document could be made available to users from the Document Repository at the same time that it is linked to related business processes, systems, regulations, and controls. ProcessUnity’s Document Repository allows customers to organize documentation and information hierarchically in any way they choose.
Links to External Content. ProcessUnity allows both attachments and Document Repository items to be linked to external information locations such as content repositories behind the customer’s firewall.
Document Ownership. As with most elements in ProcessUnity, responsibility for the maintenance and oversight of items in the Document Repository can be assigned to specific individuals through document ownership.
Document Currency. Any document in the Document Repository can be assigned a document refresh date — a date by which the document should be revised and updated, allowing customers to establish a schedule for insuring document currency. For example, a corporate policy or procedure document might need to be updated annually to comply with a particular regulation. ProcessUnity automatically notifies the document owner when a refresh date approaches.
Document Life-cycle Management. Selected documents in the Document Repository can be designated as a “managed documents,” subject to change control, review, approval, versioning, and life-cycle management.
